About Us
We are a growing charter boat hire business providing premium experiences on the water for our clients. Our fleet is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated casual team member to support our operations, crew management, and customer service.
The Role
We are seeking a qualified marine professional who can step into a hands-on role supporting both fleet operations and client experiences. This position is ideal for someone with strong people skills, a safety-first approach, and proven charter boat industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe operation and management of vessels within our fleet
- Coordinating bookings, turnarounds, and routine fleet maintenance
- Overseeing vessel readiness and safety compliance
- Delivering excellent customer service and client briefings
- Supporting skippers and crew, and stepping in where needed
- Assisting management with operational improvements and reporting
Your Story, Your Journey
About You
You will bring a strong mix of technical marine qualifications and real-world industry experience.
Essential Requirements:
- Current Master V Certificate of Competency
- Current MED Certificate (Marine Engine Driver, minimum MED III preferred)
- Demonstrated fleet management experience (small to medium vessels)
- Strong people and communication skills
- Previous work in the charter boat industry or similar customer-facing marine tourism role
- Knowledge of safety procedures, vessel maintenance, and client care
Desirable:
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Local knowledge of Port Phillip Bay and Melbourne waterways
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required
